Appeals Policy

At the Armenian Journal of Special Education, we are dedicated to maintaining a fair and transparent editorial process. We understand that there may be instances when authors wish to appeal editorial decisions regarding their submitted manuscripts. This policy outlines the steps and actions authors can take in the event of an appeal.

Grounds for Appeal: Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions based on the following grounds:

  1. Scientific Accuracy: If authors believe that the editorial decision is based on factual inaccuracies, misunderstandings of their work, or misinterpretations, they may appeal.

  2. Ethical Concerns: Authors may appeal if they have concerns about the ethical conduct of the peer review or editorial process.

Appeal Process:

  1. Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision should submit a formal appeal letter to the Editorial Office. The appeal letter should clearly state the grounds for the appeal and include any supporting documentation, evidence, or clarification.

  2. The appeal will be reviewed by the Editorial Board, which may involve consultation with additional external experts as necessary for a comprehensive evaluation. The reviewers involved in the appeal process will be different from those who handled the initial manuscript.

  3. A final decision regarding the appeal will be communicated to the author as soon as possible, typically within a reasonable timeframe. The decision reached through the appeal process is binding.

  • We take appeals seriously and ensure that they are handled impartially and fairly.

  • Appeals based solely on a difference of opinion, rather than factual errors or ethical concerns, may not be successful.

  • Decisions made through the appeal process are final and will not be subject to further appeals unless substantial new evidence is presented.

  • In the event of a successful appeal, the manuscript may be re-reviewed, and editorial decisions may be revised accordingly.

  • The decision made through the appeal process will be communicated to the authors in writing.

Authors are encouraged to reach out to us in the event of an appeal and provide as much relevant information as possible. We are committed to upholding the integrity of our editorial process and appreciate authors' cooperation in this regard.
